LA STORIA

Lo Studio d'Arte Raffaelli ha aperto la sua attività espositiva nel 1984 con una personale dell'artista trentino Tullio Garbari, dando così un preciso segnale su quella che sarebbe stata la linea della galleria negli anni a seguire: la pittura in tutti i suoi aspetti più contemporanei. Ogni mostra viene concepita per la galleria con la collaborazione dell'artista e sempre documentata con catalogo edito per l'occasione. Hanno esposto nella galleria i maggiori artisti italiani, europei ed americani degli ultimi venti anni. Denominatore comune è sempre stata la pittura anche in anni piuttosto difficili quando il video e la fotografia erano moda dominante.
Con la mostra di Chéri Samba del 1991 lo Studio si avvicina per primo in Italia all'arte contemporanea africana, sempre lavorando direttamente con gli artisti e musei per la loro promozione. La Galleria è sempre presente alle più importanti fiere dell'arte nel mondo (Bologna, Milano, Francoforte, Colonia, Basilea, Miami, Zurigo, Bruxelles, Madrid).

I rapporti culturali instaurati sono a tutto campo: dalle collaborazioni con realtà regionali (Mostra "Passione di Mela" Valle di Non, "Arte in Giardino" a Cles, "Arte e Legno" a Cavalese, Biennale a Kunsthalle di Merano) a quelle internazionali (Tate Modern di Liverpool, Fondazione Ursula Blicke a Kraichtal/Francoforte, Iwalewa-Haus di Bayreuth, Tokyo, Gam di Bologna e di Bergamo, Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea della Repubblica di San Marino, Palazzo Pretorio a Certaldo).

Non meno importante è il legame con il territorio, lo Studio fa parte dell'ASPART � associazione delle gallerie trentine di cui Giordano Raffaelli è il Presidente - tesa alla promozione dell'arte contemporanea partecipando e promuovendo una serie di iniziative; ultima per esempio è la partecipazione al Festival dell'Economia tenutosi a Trento con una mostra dal titolo "Artisti del Nord e del Sud del mondo". Mostra che ha voluto sottolineare il forte legame tra arte, appartenenza geografica e sviluppo economico.

Dopo vent'anni di attività � negli ultimi mesi del 2005 - lo Studio d'Arte Raffaelli si trasferisce nel prestigioso cinquecentesco Palazzo Wolkenstein in via Marchetti 17 a Trento, un ambiente di grande suggestione anche grazie al restauro e recupero degli elementi decorativi e architettonici originali. Per l'occasione viene concepita un'esposizione collettiva dal titolo "VERITAS" con gli artisti più rappresentativi della galleria e con i quali il signor Raffaelli ha stabilito negli ultimi venti anni un rapporto di collaborazione e amicizia (Donald Baechler, Willie Bester, Ross Bleckner, James Brown, Sandro Chia, Jan Knap, Gian Marco Montesano, David Salle, Salvo, Philip Taaffe e Jenny Watson).

Nel corso del 2006, lo Studio ha proposto diverse esposizioni: un' installazione dal titolo "Carta Stagnola" della giovane artista emergente Enrica Borghi; una collettiva di quattro giovani artisti trentini: Marco Adami, Federico Lanaro, Laurina Paperina e Carlo Vedova; un'importante mostra del maestro Salvo dal titolo "Pelmo: il trono di Dio", la collettiva "The other side" con importanti artisti americani e italiani; infine "cos� fan tutte" con gli ultimi lavori di Gian Marco Montesano e un melologo scritto dal maestro stesso e ispirato all'opera di Mozart.

Nel 2007 lo Studio d'Arte Raffaelli ha proposto diverse mostre importanti in galleria: in Febbraio � stata la volta dell'artista trentino Mauro Cappelletti, poi la personale del grande Mimmo Rotella, intitolata "Lamiere" e la mostra "Family Painings" con i lavori della giovane artista inglese Chantal Joffe; infine lo Studio ha presentato due importanti personali del rilevante artista americano Donald Baechler: "A Farewell to arms" a Forte Strino e "New works" in galleria. In Dicembre lo Studio ha inaugurato "Opere recenti" del grande artista ceco Jan Knap. La mostra resta aperta sino al 29 Febbraio 2008.

Il 13 Marzo si aprir� la mostra "Sentieri Trentini" dell'artista Maria Mulas, sino al 18 Maggio 2008.

HISTORY

Studio d�Arte Raffaelli opened his exhibition activity in 1984 with a solo exibhition of the artist from Trento Tullio Garbari, offering a clear signal of the gallery line in the following years: the painting in each her more contemporary aspects. Each exhibition is conceived for the gallery with the collaboration of the artist and always documented by a catalogue, edited for the event. The major Italian, European and American artists of the last twenty years exhibited their works in the gallery. Common denominator has always been the painting, also in very difficult years when video and photography were dominants in the art fashion. With the exhibition of Cher� Samba in 1991 the Studio is the first in Italy to approach the contemorary african art, working always directly with the artists and the museums for their promotion. The Gallery is always present at the most important fairs in the world ((Bologna, Milano, Francoforte, Colonia, Basilea, Miami, Zurigo, Bruxelles, Madrid).

The established cultural relationships are all-accomplished: from the collaboration with regional reality (�Passione di mela� in Val di Non, �Arte in Giardino� in Cles "Arte e Legno" in Cavalese, Biennale at Kunsthalle in Merano) to those internationals (Tate Modern of Liverpool, Ursula Blicke Foundation in Kraichtal/Francoforte, Iwalewa-Haus of Bayreuth, Tokyo, Gam of Bologna and of Bergamo, Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of San Marino Republic, Palazzo Pretorio a Certaldo).

Not less important is the link with the area; the Studio takes part of Aspart � association of Trento�galleries whose Giordano Raffaelli is the chairman � focused on the promotion of contemporary art, taking part and promoting an initiative�s series. The last is, for example, the partecipation to the festival of the Economy in Trento with the exhibition �Artisti of the Nord and of the South of the World�. It�s an exhibition that wanted to underline the strong link between art, geographic affiliation and economic develop.

After twenty years of activity, in the last months of 2005, Studio d�Arte Raffaelli moved to the prestigious Palazzo Wolkenstein of �500, in via Marchetti 17 in Trento, a very suggestive Palace, also due to the restoration and recovery of decorative and architectonical details. For the occasion the group exhibition �Veritas� has been conceived, with the most representative artists of the gallery, within mr Raffaelli has established a relationship of collaboration and friendship in the last twenty years (Donald Baechler, Willie Bester, Ross Bleckner, James Brown, Sandro Chia, Jan Knap, Gian Marco Montesano, David Salle, Salvo, Philip Taaffe e Jenny Watson).

In the 2006, The Studio proposed various exhibitions: the installation �Carta stagnola (alluminum foil)��of the young emerging artist Enrica Borghi; a group exhibition of four young Trentin artists: Marco Adami, Federico Lanaro, Laurina Paperina and Carlo Vedova; an important show of the master Salvo, entitled �Pelmo: il trono di Dio (Pelmo: the throne of God)�, the group exhibition �The other side� with important american and italian artists; finally �Cos� fan tutte (So do it all (women)� with the last works of Gian Marco Montesano and a melologo written by the artist himself and inspired to the Mozart�s opera.

In the 2007 the Studio d�Arte Raffaelli proposed various important exhibitions in the gallery: on February was the time of the artist from Trento Mauro Cappelletti, then the solo exhibition of the great artist Mimmo Rotella, entitled �Lamiere� and the exhibition �Family Paintings� with the works of the young British artist Chantal Joffe; finally the Studio presented two important solo exhibitions of the great american artist Donald Baechler: �A Farewell to arms� in Forte Strino and �New works� at the gallery. On December the Sudio made the opening of �Recent works� of the great Czeck artist Jan Knap. The exhibition is open until 29th February 2008.

Next opening is on 13th March, �Sentieri Trentini� by the artist Maria Mulas, until 18th May.
