Laurina Paperina’s works have the ability to bring even the most distant generations closer together through a unique and colourful universe inhabited by the most varied characters of pop culture: from the Pink Panther to Spiderman, all the way to the unforgettable Smurfs, the artist offers her viewers a refuge from reality, bringing to mind the most popular icons from the 1980s to today. However, the works of the artist from Trento do not only refer to an imagery linked to the universe of cartoons. It is not unusual, in fact, to be inspired by well-known figures linked, for example, to the world of art: this is the case of the works dedicated to Damien Hirst and Yayoi Kusama, which promote a decidedly unconventional vision of art.
