““From portrait to selfie” – the representation of the self from prehistoric times to today. This is the title of the exhibition in Palazzo Assessorile that from 26th Aprile to 29th august will be visitable. Curated by Gianluca Fondriest with installation project by Marcello Nebi, the exhibition’s goal is to involve as much as possible people of all age groups, including works “for all tastes”: from archeology, to modern art, arriving to the contemporary selfie.
The expositive path is enriched by video and music installations and is divided in 5 different parts which are developed on the three floors of the building: 2The idealized and conceptual portrait”,”The official and representative portrait”, ”The intimate and familiar portrait” , ”The realistic portrait” , and finally “The self-portrait and the selfie” . What distinguishes this exhibition is the fact that people can take selfies, which will be included in a video, becoming part of the exhibition themselves.
