Palazzo Reale in Milan presents Mario Giacomelli. Il fotografo e il poeta (The Photographer and the Poet), an exhibition that offers an in-depth exploration of the relationship between the artist’s visual work and the world of poetry.
Open to the public from 22 May to 7 September 2025, the exhibition is promoted by the Municipality of Milan – Culture Department and produced by Palazzo Reale and the Mario Giacomelli Archive, in collaboration with Rjma Progetti Culturali and Silvana Editoriale.
Curated by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi and Katiuscia Biondi Giacomelli, the Milan exhibition runs in parallel with another major project, Mario Giacomelli. Il fotografo e l’artista (The Photographer and the Artist), on view at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.
Both exhibitions have been awarded the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic.
