‘“Transatlantica” is the title of the artwork, to which the street artist OZMO dedicates himself at the Italian Cultural in New York.
The site-specific intervention is linked to to the opening (14 november 2023) of the exhibition “Under the Stars of Giotto”, a virtual and immersive revival in the historic Cappella degli Scrovegni of Padova realized by Hidonix, an Italian company specialized in augmented reality and Artificial Intelligence.
New York, as the artist himself states in an ANSA article, is a city that symbolizes the challenges and the intercultural dialogue: this project is a tribute to the Italian creativity and a critical reflection on the role of imagination in the globalized world.
The pyramid composition of Transaltaltinca mural is indeed an invitation to reflect on the history of the United States, highlighting the social and cultural dynamics that have resulted from imagination.
On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, the artist will complete the mural with a live painting through a visual dialogue between Renaissance art and contemporary art, creating a bridge between eras and traditions.
In this exhibition will be emphasized the evolution of Italian artistic expression and its encounter with American artistic languages.
