Umberto Postal was born in Trento in 1949. He approached autonomously music and art in the mid-Sixties. He lived in Holland from 1970 to 1974, where he approached psychedelic experiences and deepend his interest in art. Multifaceted artist, he dedicated himself not only to painting but also to the whole tapestry, to video-installations, to performances. Back in Trento, he engaged in multimedia photographic research and kept contacts with the most innovative ferments of art and photography in Holland, Germany and Switzerland. Since the early 1980s he has worked repeatedly in New York. He joined the group of New Futurists that gathers around Renato Barilli.
