The Trentino contemporary art galleries Studio d\u2019Arte Raffaelli<\/strong> and Cellar Contemporary<\/strong> are pleased to announce their participation in the Cultural Olympiad, the Milano Cortina 2026<\/strong> project that connects art and sport through events, exhibitions, and other cultural initiatives within a rich program spread across the entire Italian territory.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The exhibitions currently on view at the galleries\u2014respectively the solo show Alpensinfonie<\/strong><\/em> by Gian Marco Montesano<\/strong> at Studio d\u2019Arte Raffaelli and Let it Snow<\/strong><\/em> by Simone Tribuiani<\/strong> at Cellar Contemporary\u2014represent an intersection between humankind and the mountain landscape as expressed through winter sports<\/strong>, explored by both artists through the medium of painting. <\/p>\n Beginning with their titles, the two exhibitions offer interpretative keys through which to read the sporting endeavor in the mountains: with Alpensinfonie<\/em>, Gian Marco Montesano<\/strong> references the classical music of Strauss<\/strong>, guiding the public along a slow and poetic journey across immersive, snow-covered ridgelines; While Gian Marco Montesano\u2019s works continue to surprise with the freshness of his gaze and the perspectives chosen to depict the mountain and its inhabitants, Simone Tribuiani\u2019s practice stands out for his original choice of formats and supports\u2014primarily panels made from wood sourced from the shipyards of Cesenatico\u2014and for his ability to identify and convey small idylls set in the snow. Montesano, considered one of the leading Italian figurative painters since the 1970s, and the younger Tribuiani, who explores art and sports subculture in all its forms, are profoundly different artists\u2014first and foremost in terms of generation, but also in the outcomes of their respective visual languages.
